About Chevening Scholarship
The foreign scholarship program run by the UK government is called Chevening. We provide fellowships to study in the UK for a year on a fully financed master's degree program. These awards are funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and partner organizations.
Successful Chevening applicants come from a wide variety of nations and backgrounds, but they all exhibit the drive, vision, and abilities necessary to create a better world.
Being chosen has several advantages, including fully covered tuition costs, access to some of the highest quality education available anywhere, special networking possibilities, and the opportunity to see the rich diversity of the UK's culture.
You will become a member of our varied community of more than 50,000 graduates when your scholarship is over. You'll go back home with the know-how and contacts you need to realize your ideas and advance your career.
Where you're from doesn't matter. What matters is where you're headed.
Required Documents
All Chevening applicants must submit their transcripts, letters of recommendation, and one unconditional offer from a UK university. The timetable for the Chevening application contains the due dates for these necessary documents. To upload them, click the "edit my application" option up top.
You must submit these files if you are conditionally chosen for a Chevening Scholarship in order to continue the application process.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do if I can't access a visa application center?
It may take up to two months to review and process a visa travel expenses refund after the scholar has arrived in the UK. If you had to fly to another nation to obtain a visa, please let your PO know; this will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Where can I get recommendations for references?
On the references guide page, you may find additional details about references, including answers to frequently asked questions.
Where can I find instructions for the online application process?
On the OAS technical issues page, you can find instructions for the online application system as well as answers to typical questions.
I've learned that a course I applied for won't be offered this academic year. Can I instead apply to another course?
We advise you to apply for a different course in the sad event that one of your preferred courses is terminated. You can search for other Chevening-eligible options using their course finder. However, once your application has been filed, you are unable to amend your course preferences in the online application system.
If you decide to alter your university or course of study, you must inform your interviewers of your decision at the interview and retain a record of the change. Any changes to your university or programme must be approved by your interviewers.
Then, by the deadline, you must have a firm offer from one of the three approved courses.
What academic records must I submit as part of my Chevening application?
As long as it is an authentic document from your university that verifies your degree and grade, applicants may upload either their degree certificate or degree transcript. The original documents, which do not require an English translation, are what they need.
When my scholarship expires, are I allowed to remain in the UK?
All scholars are required by the terms and conditions to return to their country or territory of award for a minimum of two years after their award has been completed.
I need to request a change to my name, birthdate, citizenship, or address on my application. What should I do?
Your question may still be answered after the application window has ended if it relates to a problem that won't prohibit you from submitting your application (such as a name-spelling error, an inaccurate birthdate, or an incorrect country of residence). Please make sure to submit your application as soon as you can, and they'll take care of your problem as quickly as they can.
Once you've completed your application, please get in touch with them via their website to let them know what modifications are necessary. They'll take care of these as soon as they can.
The contents of your application, such as your essays, course preferences, and job experience, cannot be changed; these changes are only to personal data.
Can I stay in the UK after completing my education and apply for a Graduate Route visa?
The Graduate path visa is not open to Chevening Scholars. When you accept a Chevening Award, you consent to spend two years back home once your scholarship has ended.
