Update on 2022 NNPC JV Tertiary Scholarship Application

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is now accepting applications for their NNPC JV Tertiary Scholarship from suitably qualified students. All students are eligible for this fully funded scholarship.


About Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)


The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is the country's state-owned oil company, founded on April 1, 1977.


The Corporation was given authority and operational interests in refining, petrochemicals, and product transportation, as well as marketing, in addition to its exploration activities.
NNPC built refineries in Warri, Kaduna, and Port Harcourt between 1978 and 1989, and took over the 35,000-barrel Shell Refinery in Port Harcourt, which had been built in 1965.

NNPC JV Tertiary Scholarship Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:


1. Full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Nigerian tertiary institutions.
2. Certified 100-level students at the time of application (Only students admitted for the school year 2021/2022).
NOTE: Students in the following categories should not apply:

1. Students in the 200 level and above.

2. Recipients of similar prizes from other companies and organizations.

3. NAOC/NAE/AENR/NACPFA dependents

Only NAOC Host/Transit Communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, and Imo State are eligible to apply for the Host Communities Merit Award.
The National Merit Award is open to students studying Engineering, Geology, Geosciences, and Agricultural Science.
NOTE: The aptitude test will be held either online (remotely) or in one of the selected testing centers that will be communicated to shortlisted applicants.
Applicants must specify whether they want to take the test online at their leisure or at one of the specified test centers when submitting their application (cost of transportation to the centers to be borne by applicants).

Application Requirement


1. Passport photograph with white background not over 3 months old (450px by 450px not more than 200kb).

2. School ID Card.

3. O’level Certificate.

4. Admission Letter.

6. Proof of Local Government Area of Origin.

7. Letter from Community Paramount Ruler (Only Applicants for Host Communities Merit Award).

8. Letter from CDC Chairman (Only Applicants for Host Communities Merit Award).

9. JAMB Result
