Brunei Darussalam University offers this grant to outstanding candidates who want to pursue their PhD studies after earning excellence in their Master's degree.
Coverage of Scholarships
The University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship provides the following benefits to the recipient:
1. A monthly stipend of BND 500.00 for a period of 36 months.
2. Tuition fees at the University of Brunei Darussalam have been waived, including registration and acceptance fees.
3. Housing on campus for 36 months.
4. Field research allowances (BND 1000.00 for Arts and Humanities, and BND 2000.00 for Science candidates)
5. For candidates who do not live in Brunei Darussalam, a one-way economy class air ticket from their home country will be issued upon acceptance of the scholarship and will be returned to their home country upon completion of their studies.
Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship, a candidate must meet all of the following criteria:

1. A second-class upper-honours Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree with a strong record of publication during and after the Master's degree or comparable qualification.
2. Has a first-class honours Bachelor's degree and a distinction in a Master's degree, or an equivalent qualification.
3. Able to pursue education in a field of interest.
4. A research proposal that is both high-quality and high-impact.
5. Applicants must have a credit 6 in English Language at the GCE 'O' Level Examination or a grade 'B' in IGCSE English (as a Second Language), or an IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL minimum overall score of 550 for all programs.
The deadline for applications is July 31, 2022. (January 2023 intake)
